HEY!

100TH POST! Sahweeeet. MAN, too bad I accidentally go on hiatus like every month. I keep forgetting that sometimes, people still read this. (Shout out to a reader that recently posted about me, you're so darn sweet!)

So I've worn this bitch a couple times already, but I just now decided to get off my ass and take outfit photos! It's so dang cute and fits me perfectly, yet looks slimming. By my bb'z lipgloss & black. Genius, of course.

Isn't it rrrridiculously cute? I don't just shamelessly promote them for NOTHING. And congratulations to them for making 500 sales by Sylvia's birthday! w00t here.

I spent the day with my BFF at the mall (god, I'm a legal adult but I'm literally 12 sometimes) in a neighboring town. It. Is. Freaking. GIANT. I don't understand people that can shop in gigantic malls... hurting feet, getting lost... jesus. Didn't really buy anything, because I can't really impulse-spend anymore. But I did look at bathrobes, because apparently, bathrobes are necessary in the communal bathrooms of college. Of course, this means that I immediately needed to take photos that vaguely (or really obviously) suggest I have bowel problems or seizures only located within my eyebrow area.

But to balance out the shitty awkwardness of my charming persona, here are some cutesy pictures that would make my mama proud.

And just so you know, my fatty bruise from two posts ago is healing. Which makes me sad, because I wanted to show it off some more. Damn these quick-recovery teenage bodies. Is it weird that I absolutely LOVE the sharp intakes of breath and cringing expressions of disgust upon sight of my ghastly injury??

I just realized how incoherent this, reading it over. Haha, I hope I haven't driven away any readers.

By the way. CHECK OUT MY STORE? Thanks guys :D

AE v-neck tee, lipgloss & black skirt.

Good for nothin'

Fruitoftheloom tee cut into tank, AE bra, Roxy shorts, Lower East Side wedges, JM tote bag.

Plugging along in life. Picked up this sweet new ring (and some other pieces) in the most unlikely place in the world -- a freaking Chinese restaurant. They just happened to have a display of silver rings next to some cheap plastic shit.

& My outfit when it's 95 degrees out. Only in my town would it drop 20 degrees the next day.

P.S. Some photos from a shoot that my friend did.

in the way of ghostly spaces

Can you tell I'm channeling a bit of AW here?

Took a trip to San Francisco with some dear friends yesterday, and it was really fun, despite the fact that we couldn't go too far (nor too quickly) due to my newly sprained ankle. However, I did get to go to H&M for the first time (gasp, I know), and drool more over the entire AA store. I think I need just about everything in there, but I only bought a plain white t-shirt and the circle scarf in black. And of course, helped my t-shirt-and-jeans friend pick out some nice basics.

Cue me trying to figure out having some fun with the scarf.

I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the weekend. And I leave you on this illustrated note:

Target sweater, Mervyn's shorts, Marshalls tights, Doc Martens boots.

when you sigh.

Sorry I'm such a terrible blogger. I haven't really been putting too much effort dressing myself. Going through a bit of trouble in my personal life, not too much I can say about that. Thanks to the few readers who still read/comment and such. :)

I saw the local symphony play last night... made me remember how much I really do love strings. And gives me a desire to practice, heh.

Hope you lovely ladies (and gents) are doing well.

P.S., I've had Lykke Li's Youth Novels album on repeat for the past two days. It's a huge dance party, I highly recommend taking a listen.

AA cardigan, Lykke Li tee, Target jeans, f21 earrings.

You know I don't like to get caught

After mentally running into walls and dying over Calculus (that wasn't supposed to make sense...) I decided to drink Mountain Dew and finally enter my look into this week's Weardrobe contest instead! (Don't you just love that the skirt alert header?) So having edited my photos to upload, why not share 'em with my beautiful readers in an outfit post too, right?

Because blogging pwns indefinite integrals and sigma notation ANY day:

I figure with the contest being all about spring (hence the 'skirt alert'?), I'd keep the legs and feet bare. Nice to know I still have my tan in February, haha.

I was just playing around with this outfit over the weekend, but I did end up wearing it in public (school), albeit the modified version. Just imagine adding white straight-legged jeans, a dark blue thermal, a cropped green jacket, and the charcoal AA unisex cardigan, nixing the plaid shirt. (If you can't tell, it was really cold.)

...Probably should've taken a picture of it. :/ Oh well, I ended up being soaked half the day anyway. Okay, not for that long, but really, it's been raining for the past week or so... today was a nicer, more mild 62 degrees.

Oh, and the AA cardigan... why is it one of the best things that I own?? It's so thick and comfy and flattering and sturdy that I can't help but love it. SO glad I abstained from buying a cheap crappy one from f21 like everyone else. (Is it unhealthy for me to want to wear it every day this week??) I would've gotten one earlier, but the closest AA is in SF (ACTUALLY, my friend from Napa just told me there's an AA outlet in her area... didn't even know those existed!!!), and I just happened to be in SF this weekend.

I'm not one to take spontaneous jaunts to more-fun-than-my-city places haphazardly, but my friend happened to have an extra ticket to the freaking LYKKE LI CONCERT... and fuck YES I jumped on that shit. :) Aka sweet new pictures. Be sure to check back for the next post ;)

Here's a little teaser...

DIY circle scarf, Marshalls nightgown, Hot Topic tie, random (and kinda old) plaid shirt, AA polyester tulip skirt (in 'silver cloud').

When I'm bored at the BFF's house

And we're just chewin' on Bubblicious, I make people take outfit pics for me.

Just kidding. Kinda.

Ew my skin's kinda gross. Oh well. For the blog!!!!

AA matte faux leather hoodie, Gap shirt, Target pants, thrifted pearls, AE necklace.

Ah ah ah

MASSIVE update! Get readdyyy..

Just a bunch of outfits I'm gonna shoot at ya. I think they're from the past... week or so? But I've been a sick and lazy bum so that's why these are all so late... :x

The next one was one of my most favorite outfits lately... tights taken from an old costume a few years ago (Malice in Wonderland, if you were curious!), and are surprisingly thick and sturdy for shitty costumes.

I think I'll start telling people my hair smokes crack when I sleep... that's a valid excuse for it looking different every single day, right?

Thank you for the well wishes... I am definitely better (my throat doesn't really bother me and I'm less tired), but it's definitely still looming in the distance. The illness, I mean. It helps that I've had a four-day weekend (I stayed home from school on Friday), but that means I have loads to catch up on. Le sigh.

I think I'm going to start having a weekly... poll/question thang every week. I'm curious about you readers :)

And just so you guys know, tkGIRLA still has our FREE PRIORITY SHIPPING promotion going on... so go snag something already! Our sale has got prices cut up to 50%! :)

1- f21 vest, Target sweater, Dad's trousers, Jason Mraz tote, Docs.
2- Gap dress (gift), random old sweater, random costume tights, Docs.

Costco...? Wtf?

What the hell?! When did this happen? Don't tell me it's been around in freaking COSTCO for forever... and for $40?! I... what?

Guh, and it WOULD be next to some Ed Hardy t-shirts. I hate those things...

Borrowedfromfriend Chabe vest, Express white t-shirt and (borrowedfromfriend) ankle skinnies, AE black bra, Old Navy satin flats, Jason Mraz tote bag.

13 January 2009

You look... freaking weird! Like... wtf, tight shirt, skirt high-waisted...

Title was taken from what this girl said about my outfit today. Whilst touching me and stuff. Er, I mean my clothes... not... me...

Uhm, thanks random-new-band-girl-that-insulted-me-but-didn't-mean-to-or-something. I think I look pretty freaking cool.

Just kidding.

And my week is definitely much better, though I am freaking tired and busy all the time. Sorry I haven't been such a presence on your blogs lately, I'll definitely swing around soon and check out you stylish ladies.

It was a freaking high of 70 degrees today. What... the... hell? California, seriously? Middle of January? WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME??

Hoodie and top from friend. Scarf, gift. Twilight pendant necklace. Vintage skirt from mama. Capezio tights. Random black socks (not shown).

P.S. You lurkers! I see you! My views don't lie! Just leave a darn comment. :P

End of a terrible week. My weekend was better, though not by much. It's been hard to scrounge up inspiration lately, but I have something coming up that will definitely be exciting and something (almost) completely new for me... it's a surprise for you guys too. I can't wait to show you!

One of my best friends is really amazing with picking things out for me. She got me the AA's polyester tulip skirt in silver cloud (which is scandalously short, by the way!). I feel like it's a more cool-toned lavender in person. But it's pretty amazing. And pockets? Can't go wrong. I think like with the u-neck dress, you could always size up if you wanted a bigger tulip shape (I'm wearing a size small), but I haven't tried so don't trust my word.

And these random tights I found at Marshalls, which are pretty thick despite how sheer they are!

So I hope you guys had a good week (and brace yourselves for another fucking Monday), even if it makes you do this:

Fueled By Ramen Paramore beanie, hoodie from friend, Twilight necklace, Express white t-shirt, AE bra, CK coat, AA poly tulip skirt, Marshalls tights.

P.S. I've been addicted to Britney's Circus video today... it's really catchy, I have to admit. And plus it's totally weird to see someone you know in something like that. One of her background dancers graduated from my high school about 2 years ago... he's the one with the braids and the solo! He's in Womanizer too, check him out :)
